Thomas E. Ryan has a broad background in the legal profession, providing his clients with a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the law.  A sole practitioner in Lee's Summit for the last 30 years, Tom represents individuals charged with all types of state and municipal criminal offenses, as well as traffic offenses, bankruptcies, wills, contracts and other litigation issues. 

In his nearly 40-year career, Tom has worked in nearly all aspects of the legal profession.  His background includes working for corporations as well as a large metropolitan law firm.  He has served as a city attorney for the city of Greenwood and as assistant city attorney for the city of Blue Springs and the city of Lee's Summit.  He also served as the court-appointed public defender for the city of Lee's Summit for several years.  In addition to running his private practice, Tom currently is the municipal court judge for the city of Lake Winnebago, Mo. 

Through his extensive and varied experience serving as a prosecutor, defense lawyer, public defender and judge, Tom has acquired a valuable and unique perspective of the law that he tailors to his client's individual needs. 

A graduate of Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Tom received his Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
